ORIGINAL PAINTING - ROBIN

This painting is the first in a series of paintings - a small series of 'portholes' featuring some of my favourite garden and woodland birds.

 

I love watching the birds in my garden and taking walks in the woods and these paintings are a reminder to us all to get out and spend some time in nature - it is good for the mind and good for the soul.

 

These paintings represent little portholes through to the outside world - so that when we look at them we are reminded that we sometimes need to get up from our desks, look up from our phones and get out and see the wonderful life that is happening all around us. The early signs of Spring are already here - snowdrops are flowering, the daffodils are on their marks and there are birds that can be seen and heard in even the most urban of areas - so it's a wonderful time to get out, take a deep breath and escape the doom scrolling!

 

This original painting features a firm favourite, the robin. It measures 20cm in diameter and it is painted on a thin piece of wood. It comes varnished and with a hanging hook on the back. (This painting is freshly finished so will be ready to dispatch in a  week or so once it is completely dry and varnished!)
