ORIGINAL PAINTING - MIX TAPE

Isn't it brilliant how we all love different music and how we all have our favourite songs - songs that bring back memories, take us back to a certain moment, that have lyrics that 'speak to us' or simply make us want to dance or sing our heart out!

My musical taste is so varied it's bonkers - which is why the mix tape was such a special thing. There is no compilation album on the planet that could capture my favourites in one place- but I could. It was a time-consuming, precious process of stopping tapes, starting tapes, pressing buttons across several fingers at the same time and keeping note of the track list on both sides (hoping that you could squeeze one last song in before the tape ran out!). The mix tape really was a wonderful thing - and worthy of a painting to celebrate it!

Painted with acrylic on MDF, the painting measures 61cm x 39cm and is varnished and ready to hang. Please allow 2-3 working days for the painting to be dispatched. 

These days, I still have all my favourite tunes together on my streaming playlist - but it's not the same is it. And I'm confident it doesn't deserve a painting.
