Things have been a bit quiet round here lately - mainly because I have been away enjoying some winter Sun over in Lanzarote. It was an amazing holiday with my family to celebrate my Mum and Dad's Golden Wedding Anniversary which was on October 8th.
We had such a wonderful time eating amazing food and drinking far too much sangria! And it was a welcome period of relaxation and family time after a hectic few weeks getting ready for my exhibition.
But I am back with a vengeance now - and rather than having any post holiday blues, I am actually excited to be back in the studio with lots of great things happening and lots of work to do. The exhibition I am part of over at Castle Park Arts Centre in Frodsham, Cheshire, is still up and running until November 2nd and showcases a range of my recent 'biscuit' and 'wine' work.
I am also working on a couple of new pieces which I am hoping to submit to the Castle Park Open at the end of this month after which I will also be starting on a whole new body of work ready for a solo exhibition over in Altrincham, Cheshire next Spring. There is also the #TwitterArtExhibit event I am hoping to submit too again - this is a great charity event which involves Artists from all over the world donating postcard size original pieces of Art to be sold in aid of a nominated charity. Added to this I also have lots of painted pennies to do and some scenery to paint for the school Christmas play - I certainly won't be getting bored anytime soon!
So, watch this space for lots of new work coming up very soon!
